ABERFOYLE, Ont. – The Ontario Land Tribunal has ruled in favour of CBM Aggregates expanding their Lanci Pit by 14.8 hectares.
This 14.8-hectare expansion will add to the original 60 acres that CBM’s Lanci Pit is currently licensed for. The extraction area of this expansion will span 10 hectares, which the company estimates will have an output of up to four million tonnes of sand and gravel.
This site will be a feeder pit, with processing of extracted resources occurring at the Aberfoyle South Pit located across the road from the extraction site.
CBM Aggregates is a division of St. Marys Cement and operates over 60 gravel pits and quarries across the province.
