TORONTO – The Port of Toronto claimed a overall of 2,311,616 metric tonnes of cargo goods moved in 2023, with mixture and design products making up a substantial portion of this figure.
Of complete cargo moved, the port described that 796,644 metric tonnes of cement (an 11 per cent increase from 2022), 97,016 metric tonnes of aggregate and 123,234 metric tonnes of steel goods came via the port to be offered to development web pages throughout the Increased Toronto Space.
“The Port of Toronto is a responsible, sustainable trade gateway that imports hundreds of thousands of tonnes of items every single 12 months that our town requires to keep on to thrive,” stated RJ Steenstra, president and CEO of PortsToronto. “From the cement needed to source our design marketplace – a person of the busiest in North America – to the sugar we use to sweeten our morning espresso.”
